Role Spotlight: Tenancy Manager
Each edition of the HomeNow update profiles a key role or career in the housing and homelessness sector which may just be the perfect pathway for you.
Tenancy Managers, also known as Housing Officers or Asset Managers, play a key role in Community and Social Housing, ensuring facilities are managed effectively and safely while supporting residents to successfully sustain their tenancy.
Key tasks include interviewing prospective tenants, making referrals to support service agencies, assess tenancy applications, assisting with rent and bond payment collection, conducting property inspections, working with government agencies and housing providers, resolving disputes and managing the maintenance of properties.
